Lancaster Mennonite Conference



Lancaster Mennonite Conference congregations are grouped together in geographic districts. Oversight of each district is provided by a bishop, overseer, or supervisor. Several bishops give oversight to more than one district.

Bishop Nicolas Angustia

Nicolas Angustia's vision is to serve the Kings of kings and Lord of lords with the utmost integrity and honor. He also desires to be available to his brothers and sisters and humbly provide them spiritual guidance and words of encouragement from the gospel of his savior, Christ Jesus.

Bishop Keith W. Blank


Bishop since 2015

Keith's vision is to empower, equip and support pastors as they lead in their respective congregations. His life mission statement is "to equip, raise up, and mobilize leaders in the body of Christ while modeling an obedient, Spirit-filled life thereby enabling others to see their own gifting and calling."

Bishop Nelson L. Bowman

Martindale District

Bishop since 1995

As an overseer, Nelson Bowman's vision is to revitalize congregations, plant new churches, and to call out and develop new leaders.

Bishop Robert S. Brody

LanChester, New Danville and Willow Street-Strasburg Districts

Bishop since 2015

Robert Brody's desire is to see congregations flourish in the context of their local communities, partnering with other congregations to create a network where they serve one another. For each member of the church he hopes they may state as Paul did to the Thessalonians: "We loved you so much that we shared with you not only God's Good News but our own lives, too."

Timothy Darling's vision is to see the New Jersey area of the Philadelphia District re-established and growing.

Leonard Dow's vision is to allow the Holy Spirit to use the various gifts on the Philadelphia Bishop Team to transform, equip, encourage, correct, and release individuals, congregations, and the Philadelphia District into faithfully responding to the great commission given by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Jason Kuniholm's vision is to be a pastor to pastors by providing support, goal-setting, and encouraging personal and professional development.

Stephen Weaver's desire is to emulate the beloved apostle when Paul said, "To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the nations the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God who created all things, so that through the Church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places."
