Lancaster Mennonite Conference Office staff are available to assist congregations in carrying out their God-given purpose. We desire to walk alongside congregations through collaborative and coordinated ministries and resources that support 2020 Vision.

Tom Eshleman

Pastor Tom Eshleman has been named LMC’s Global Delegate. This new role was developed to help LMC strengthen its connections and relationships with our fraternal partners around the world.

Tom continues his pastoral ministry but also engages in this part-time support role. Tom serves as pastor at Groffdale Mennonite Church in Leola, PA where he has served since 2005.

He and his wife Jennifer have three children, ages 16, 13 and 11. Tom has a strong interest in cross-cultural interaction going back to his days as a public school teacher in Harrisonburg, VA relating with immigrant students and their parents from around the world. Short-term mission and study experiences in Jamaica, Central America, and Africa also impacted Tom. As a pastor, opportunities to relate with the global church energize him for the mission and witness of the local church.

Carl A. Hess

As Financial Administrator, Carl manages and reports Conference finances. He also oversees the Conference’s information technology services and building/office maintenance.

Carl has a Bachelor’s degree in History from Eastern Mennonite University. His vision is to actively participate in God’s kingdom today.

Carl and his wife, Nancy, are members of New Danville Mennonite.

Conrad Kanagy

As staff consultant, Conrad works on special projects including the assessment of conference programs and the development of new initiatives. He is available to work with local congregations in vision development and revitalization. He uses a variety of tools including questionnaires and focus groups to assist congregations in addressing particular questions they are wrestling with or to identify their mission. He also serves on the staff Leadership Team.

Conrad went to Wheaton College and earned advanced degrees in sociology from Penn State.

He and his wife, Heidi, are members of Elizabethtown Mennonite where Conrad leads the Pastoral Team.

Marcia Mylin

Marcia Mylin serve as resource staff for all the various Life Stages across a congregation – children, youth, young adults, couples, singles, and elderly. She also aids in event planning and helps with Conference Minister assignments.

Brinton Rutherford

As the point person for Missional Anabaptist Identity, Brinton works on communicating the core values of LMC. He also develops theology teams to encourage theological discussion among Conference leaders and gives leadership to the area of Leadership Development.

After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Biophysics, Brinton went on to earn his Master’s of Divinity and his Ph.D. in Theology. His vision is to help leaders and congregations answer the question, “What does it mean to be missional Anabaptists and how does that affect our future ministry together as LMC congregations?”

Brinton and his wife, Jenice, attend Willow Street Mennonite.

Joselyn Santiago

As Administrative Assistant, Joselyn assists the Conference Moderator, Conference Minister, and other staff. Joselyn coordinates credentialing activities, assists with corporate gatherings, the Conference magazine, and manages the website and front desk.

Dale W. Stoltzfus

As Conference Minister, Dale gives leadership to LMC’s Credentialing Commission.

After earning his Bachelor’s degree from Eastern Mennonite University, Dale earned his M.Div. and his D.Min. from New York Theological Seminary. His vision is to be part of the team assisting the moderator and staff working at the Conference core values.

L. Keith Weaver

As Conference Moderator, Keith gives spiritual oversight and direction, including promoting a missional vision for LMC. He also engages in fund development for LMC.

Keith has a Masters of Arts in Church Leadership. As Moderator, Keith Weaver’s vision is to see LMC become a fellowship of congregations fully engaged in the mission of God and multiplying disciples of Jesus Christ and new faith communities.

Keith and his wife, JoAnne, are members of Blainsport Mennonite.
